My name is Harry Roy. I was born in August of 1943, in Ohio, and I have lived in the northeastern USA most of my life. I am still working, as a Professor of Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I teach introductory biology and evolution. I conducted funded research on the molecular biology of plants for most of my professional career. My wife is retired but keeps busy with writing and singing. We have a married son. I speak English and French, and I like to read and write in both languages. I am interested in singing, art history, science, and politics. I am not sure yet just what this blog is for.
