I was born in August of 1943, in Ohio, and I have lived in the northeastern USA most of my life. I am still working, as a Professor of Biology at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. I teach introductory biology and evolution. I conducted funded research on the molecular biology of plants for most of my professional career. My wife is retired but keeps busy with  writing and singing. We have a married son. I speak English and French, and I like to read and write in both languages. I am interested in singing, art history, science, and politics. I welcome comments on any of my posts.

  1. Je viens de passer un long moment sur votre blog, cher Harry, qui a pris de la couleur. Magnifique présentation, de belles photos et les articles dans cette lignée d’excellence.
